Gilbert is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona. Named a Best Place to Live by CNN/Money in 2012, it's easy to understand why Gilbert is one of the fastest growing communities in the country. Commuters in Gilbert take advantage of five bus routes that run through town, as well as a bus service that connects to Chandler, immediately to the west, and Mesa, to the northeast. The latter also connects to the Valley Metro light rail. Gilbert sits 8 miles from Interstate 10, which runs from California to Florida. Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is just 10 miles to the west, and commercial air service is also available at Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport.
