One advantage to living in Decatur is that there's no need to hop on the interstate to commute to jobs in Atlanta. Drivers can take either Ponce de Leon Avenue or Memorial Drive, both of which run west to Midtown and Downtown Atlanta offices.

Alternately, MARTA trains run from Downtown Decatur to Downtown Atlanta, making Decatur one of the few cities in the metro Atlanta region in which commuting by public transit is convenient.

Stone Mountain Trail ? This 19-mile trail, located just outside of Decatur in Dekalb county, welcomes bikers and pedestrians.
Brick Store Pub ? A beloved, cozy pub with great food, an old-world atmosphere and some of the best beer in the Atlanta area.
Concerts on the Square ? Free outdoor public concerts featuring a variety of musical performers.
