Tallahassee, the state capitol of Florida, is in Leon County, located inland on Florida's panhandle. It's a thriving college town, home to Florida State University and Florida A&M University, the biggest historically-African American university in the United States.

Tallahassee's metro area features a number of distinct neighborhoods, including Woodville, Spring Hill and Monticello.

Tallahassee's young residents and active arts council make make it a great place in which to live. The city hosts many annual festivals, including the Tallahassee Film Festival, Winter Festival and First Friday events, such as pub crawls and block parties, help on the first Friday of every month. There's no shortage of great food, entertainment and cultural activities here.

Tallahassee commuters use major highways, such as I-10; U.S. Routes 27, 90 and 319; and State Roads 20, 61 and 363. Public transit options include StarMetro bus service and Megabus service. Tallahassee Municipal Airport (TLH) is located off I-10.
