The Fort Lauderdale lifestyle is oriented around the outdoors and the sun. Going to a beach and relaxing by a pool are year-round activities. Festivals, restaurants, shopping and the Broward Center for the Performing Arts are all found downtown. Nearby, a landscaped pedestrian Riverwalk extends along New River, connecting to Las Olas Boulevard, a tree-lined street full of outdoor cafes and shops.
