Brandon is a growing city in Hillsborough County, Florida, offering a homey feel and a number of distinct activities and entertainment options.
The Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce publishes the annual Brandon Living Guide that keeps residents up-to-date on amenities, events and resources in and around the area. Locals and tourists take in shows at the Center Place Fine Arts Civic Center, enjoy the annual Florida State Fair and Strawberry Festival, and visit the attractions in nearby Tampa, such as the Gasparilla Pirate Fest. Outdoor activities in Brandon include nature walks, deep sea fishing and bird watching.
Brandon is best known for being a commuter city, due to it's easy access to Tampa, so rush-hour traffic can get pretty bad. Brandon's commuters use I-275, I-4, the Veterans Expressway and the Leroy Selmon Crosstown Expressway. They also take advantage of Hillsborough Area Regional Transit (HART) services and Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority (PSTA) services. Once in Tampa, they utilize the TECO Line Streetcar System. Tampa International Airport, located off I-275, is less than a 30-minute drive from Brandon.
