Bowie, Maryland is the fifth largest city in the state and is part of the Baltimore-Washington metro area. While Bowie was originally founded as a railroad town, the best way to get to D.C. today is by road on US-50. Bowie is home to the AA affiliate of the Baltimore Orioles, the Bowie Baysox who play baseball at Prince George's Stadium. Bowie also offers a varitety of shopping places and restaurants. The real estate market is about middle of the road for pricing, given its proximity to Washington, DC.
