The neighborhood

About the building

This home is in a charming mountain village about 20 minutes from N Boulder. An excellent elementary school is just down the road, walking distance. It sits on the bluff above a gurgling creek; and is a very private and quiet space. The sight of trees, flowers, birds, bees and sound from the creek pervade the home from every side. This is a truly restorative place. There are many hikes (or runs, bicycle rides) from the front door. The social scene in the village is warm and lively all year. The house has had a complete refurbishing and is ready for an appreciative occupant. It should be noted that residents here must be able to use wood stove for heat. The 3 bedrooms, baths, and sunroom heat very well with electric baseboard heat. But the living room/kitchen and adjoining spaces require wood fires to keep cosy; and the house as a whole is designed to be most economically heated by the wood stove. The upside of that is that there is nothing like the warmth of a wood stove.
