Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS)
Tenant(s) are responsible for payment of some or all utilities as outlined in the lease. For multi-tenant properties with shared (master-metered) utilities, charges may be allocated to residents using a third-party billing service and/or a Ratio Utility Billing System (RUBS) or similar method to apportion each resident's share based on usage and/or occupancy.
Tenant(s) may be required to enroll with the billing provider upon lease commencement and will receive a welcome letter with instructions for account setup and payment.
The owner may implement such billing as permitted by law, with at least 30 days' written notice if not already in place. If a RUBS billing system is already in effect, a separate addendum will govern the terms of utility billing. Please refer to your lease and any applicable addenda for full details.
