If you're looking for more urban surroundings, you're only 10 miles from downtown L.A., and even closer to West Hollywood. Fortunately, you can catch the Glendale Beeline bus system, Metrolink, Metro, Greyhound and Amtrak, plus Dial-A-Ride, the city's transportation service for those who are disabled or over 65 years old.
For shopping, the city is home to the fashionable Americana at Brand, as well as one of the largest malls in L.A., The Glendale Galleria. Be sure to visit Forest Lawn Memorial Park for panoramic views and a peaceful stroll along the grounds where Walt Disney, Jimmy Stewart and many other famous figures are buried. For even more entertainment, catch a show at the historic Alex Theatre or the Glendale Centre Theatre.
