Area Information

Kendall is an upscale suburb of Miami, Florida, located in southwest Miami-Dade County. The city is known for Dadeland Mall, one of the busiest malls in the country, with more than 185 retail stores and restaurants, including Florida's largest Macy's store. Near the mall, the Downtown Dadeland apartment complex offers rentals above shops and restaurants.

Kendall is just 8 miles from the campus and sports attractions of the University of Miami and the refined restaurants of Coral Gables; 5 miles from the excitement of Miami Beach; 9 miles from the arts scene of Coconut Grove; and 15 miles from downtown Miami and the trendy shopping and nightlife of South Beach.

Kendall commuters use several transit corridors to commute to the Miami metro area. The MetroRail easily connects commuters to downtown Miami and the Brickell Financial District. The Kendall Cruiser bus lines, which run every 12 minutes during weekday rush hours, offer limited-stop express trips to downtown Miami and Coral Gables. The Miami International Airport is just 15 minutes away, as is the Miami Executive Airport (Kendall-Tamiami Airport), which is used for corporate flights.
