Welcome to The Mountains! Available starting December 1, 2026 Kick back, relax, and enjoy the views, the wildlife, and the beautiful woodland surroundings in this 2,100 sq foot, four-bedroom, 2.5 bath fully furnished home. The master bedroom has a king bed, large closets, an ensuite bathroom with a separate shower and tub. The lower level has three bedrooms - two with a queen bed in each and the third has been converted to a home-office, perfect for remote workers. This cozy mountain retreat has everything you need with a fully stocked kitchen, Starlink WiFi, a washer and dryer, a cozy fireplace, and two large decks with amazing views at the elevation of 10,240 feet in the upper living room! You will be surrounded by nature, forgetting that you are only 10 miles away from I-70 and downtown Idaho Springs. You will enter from the lower deck (numerous stairs, so mobility is required), bringing you to one of two living areas. Here you will find the three bedrooms (one acting as an office), a full bathroom, and the laundry room, as well as the great room (without a couch - yet ). Upstairs you will enter the main living area with a large couch, a cozy fireplace, a smart tv, the kitchen, the dining area, a master bedroom with an ensuite full bath, and a half bath. Here you will also find a ladder to the Loft, which has a pool table. From the kitchen/living room, you can step out onto the second deck to enjoy spectacular views! The sunrises and sunsets are amazing, so pull up a chair and enjoy! The deck does have a dining table and chairs for you to relax and enjoy the view. Tenants will also have to complete a signed lease prior to renting. Available month-to-month beginning in December 2026. Enjoy all the mountain has to offer, surrounded by hiking, ATV/OHV trails, lakes and frequent wildlife sightings and dark skies for stargazing. The St. Marys Glacier Trailhead or Loch Lomond Trailhead are within 5 minutes. You can also head down the mountain 10 miles to tour the Historic Argo Gold Mill or enjoy the Indian Hot Springs, Georgetown Loop Railroad, and more! Red Rocks Amphitheater is only 45 minutes away. Ready for some winter fun? You are only about an hour away from some of the best ski and snowboarding resorts. Getting There 4WD/AWD is required from at least October to May as the mountain weather can be unpredictable. Fall River Road is also windy, so drive carefully. Not all roads are paved. Parking is available in the driveway and two cars will easily fit. Parking in the street may result in a ticket or tow. Altitude Considerations As a reminder, you are above 10,000 feet, so the thin air can make physical activity more strenuous and weather can change quickly! Exterior Cameras There are three exterior security cameras one at the front door, one on the side of the house, and one on the back of the house. This allows us to monitor the weather, snowfall, critters, and any entry issues. Cameras record video and audio and must not be tampered with. Utilities and Outages Power outages are possible if there are storms or heavy snowfall. If it snows, guests will need to shovel the deck and stairs. Snow removal service is available for the driveway only. Power, water, Wi-Fi, or service interruptions may occur in mountain areas. It is critical to leave water running ever so slightly in the winter months to prevent lines from freezing. *Note: Refunds are not provided for temporary outages beyond our control. Heating and AC Mountain climates are mild in the summers and The Cabin does not have central air conditioning. You are sure to love the mountain breeze, so open up those windows! There is central heat that works throughout the house. The bedrooms do heat up quickly, so we recommend keeping the temperatures low. Central heat for winter months with a propane tank Parties or Events No parties or events are allowed at The Cabin. Stairs & Accessibility Stairs are required to access the home. The property will not be suitable for guests with limited mobility. Pets Contact owners to discuss pet options. They MAY or MAY NOT be allowed. They must be well-trained. To be determined depending upon the type, size, breed, and other factors. A $250 non-refundable pet fee will be required, plus you will pay for any damages should the pet chew, wet, or otherwise damage anything. Additional cleaning fees may be required. Drink plenty of water, take breaks if you feel winded. Please consult with your physician if you have conditions that may be adversely affected by high altitudes. Package Deliveries We are not able to accept or guarantee delivery of guest packages. Carriers sometimes mis-deliver or leave items exposed to weather. If you need to receive something during your stay, please ship it to a nearby Amazon Locker or local pickup location instead. The host is not responsible for helping guests track or return their packages.
