In partnership with RVA Resort Vacations, Cedars East Tennis Club proudly welcomes its new Tennis Director, John Eagleton a seasoned professional with an impressive tennis pedigree. A four-time All-American at the University of Miami, Eagleton brings over three decades of experience coaching everyone from enthusiastic beginners to ATP tour-level players.
Certified as both an ATP Tour Professional and USPTA Pro, Eagleton's philosophy combines technical precision with a genuine passion for the sport. His arrival marks the beginning of exciting new programs, including weekend skill-specific clinics and innovative training methods tailored for all levels of play.
"Cedars East has always been about more than just tennis it's about community," Eagleton says. "I'm thrilled to bring new energy, fresh programs, and the highest quality of instruction to our members and guests."
John has successfully coached players ranging from enthusiastic beginners to collegiate athletes and professional tour-level competitors. His coaching philosophy emphasizes not only technical skill development but also a passion for the sport values that align closely with Cedars East Tennis Club's mission to offer an inclusive, enriching, and engaging environment for all members.
As Tennis Director, John will take the lead in enhancing both the athletic and social experiences at the club. His initial priorities include providing outstanding service to existing members while launching new programs designed to raise the overall quality of tennis instruction and play. Among these offerings will be weekend clinics tailored to different skill levels, giving members the opportunity to learn directly from one of the sport's most respected coaches and experience his innovative teaching methods.
This appointment represents a significant step forward for Cedars East Tennis Club as it continues to grow as a premier destination for tennis education, performance, and community engagement.
