This home is located on Zaragoza Street and just a few steps away to Seville Square which lies at the very heart of historic Pensacola. Seville Square was the location of a 1752 outpost originally established by the Spanish in 1752 known as San Miquel. The British took control of Pensacola in 1763 and made it a public square that ran from Palafox Street to Alcaniz Street and from the bay to Intendencia Street. The original building dates back sometime between 1850 and 1890. The main building has been added onto several times over the years and the cottage in the back was built in the 1980s. Prior to the construction of the current buildings, a saw mill was built on the land, taking advantage of the robust timber industry in Pensacola. The house was built as a private home, but during the greater part of the 1900's, it is rumored to have been a bordello. Since then, the building was used as apartments and, at times, retail space. It was a dress maker's shop and then home to the Mole Hole gift shop for over 30 years. In 2022, it was completely remodeled to converted into the home it is today. This location is ideal for all who seek the joys of downtown life with wonderful dining, nightlife, shopping, and events and only a 15 min drive to the best beaches in the world. This home is the perfect spot for wedding parties with the Oyster Bay Boutique, Christ Church and Barkley House just a few steps away. Our space features an open living concept that screams luxury at its finest. There is a spectacular Chef's kitchen furnished with a suite of Thermador, professional-grade appliances. The 11'x4' large island is wrapped in leathered Magnetor granite with ample room for prepping and entertaining. Enjoy the round breakfast table that seats 4, custom built bar cabinet furnished with vintage, mid-century glasses by Dorothy Thorpe (as featured on the Mad Men TV series). The living room is cozy and quaint with plenty of natural light, eclectic furniture and a great place to curl up and read a book. There is an office in entry way that is equipped for those traveling and need a place to work. The art work and furniture is from the owner's personal collection while traveling abroad mixed with Pensacola history books and replicas of Pensacola's famous landmarks. The Main bedroom features a king-sized bed, closet and a private entrance to back porch. Guest bedroom features a queen sized bed and closet. Both bedrooms have bathrooms in the hallway with luxury tiled showers and single, quartz top countertop vanities. A stackable washer/dryer is located in the hallway and two great porches are on the front and the back for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails.
