We highly recommend a 4X4 or AWD vehicle as the driveway is steep. Guests can park 3-4 vehicles in the driveway and garage. A snow shovel is provided in the garage. Type of Cooling and Heating for the Home: While the home does NOT feature central air conditioning, evenings at this 8400ft altitude are typically cool during the summer months. Opening the windows will naturally cool the house. Electric baseboard heaters are used throughout the home for heating. Upon arrival during colder seasons, it's advisable to promptly adjust them for comfort as they may take some time to warm up. For safety, it's recommended to leave them on LOW when leaving the house. Additionally, heating is provided by a pellet stove located in the main floor living room. Detailed instructions and pellets will be provided; this method is both effective and energy efficient for heating the home.
