Elegant, Victorian Flat, 3 bed, 2 bath, lots of charm.… With original molding and charming features from the 1880s, this space is immediately welcoming and feels like home. This house is in the historic part of West Oakland, and the primary bedroom is spacious, quiet and has an ensuite bathroom. The other bedroom of a similar size, is cozy and private and gets great Eastern light. The third and largest room has long, gorgeous, windows and old world beauty. It would make an excellent office, secondary living space, or children's play space, however with it's gorgeous walk in closet it would also make for a luxuriously large bedroom with french doors and bay windows. All three rooms have large closets. There are hardwood floors in the main living quarters, and high quality bamboo and laminate floor in the first two bedrooms.. It has lovely molding and unique features throughout. the second bathroom has a clawfoot tub and penny round tiles. The kitchen is cute with a lot of natural light, all appliances and a gas stove. There is a recently upgraded stackable washer and dryer in the unit.The backyard is large, and practical - it has a patio and a deck and room for building gardening beds or chicken coops. You could sip your morning coffee out on the deck in the morning, and the space is set up for outdoor dining, with shade umbrellas and a heat lamp. The outdoor spaces are shared with the neighbors downstairs, and are good for gatherings and small celebrations
The space is also well appointed, allowing for a lot of privacy if you are sharing the unit with others. Lots of natural light and the Victorian design allows for passive solar temperature control. This is a no-smoking unit, though responsible tenants may smoke on the decks and in the yard.
10 minute walk to West Oakland Bart, easy commute to SF and other parts of Oakland - the closest exit to the bridge. Some cafes & small groceries are walkable. Very close to Emeryville and downtown.
