While the apartment is attached to our main house, it's completely self-contained with no internal connecting doors, ensuring total privacy and security for our guests. - WOW; 100+ year old hardwood floors that have been painstakingly refurbished are the foundation for this unbelievably designed space. - Living room and dining area with a subtle mid-century vibe and a pop of color from the new decor. - The fully stocked kitchen with glassware, plates/bowls, pots & pans, cookie sheets, toaster, Keurig, and more. - Paintings, throw pillows, blankets, vases, and decor makes the place pop! - Green tea memory foam mattress with soft and comfortable sheets will allow you to sleep as well as ever. - Restored 1960's real cedar dresser. - Reading nook with large window overlooking the backyard. - Super soft towels, washcloths, and hand towels are provided! - This space at approximately 520 sq. ft., however, it's packed with the amenities you need. Perfect WFH spot too! - 2 blocks from the river. - 2 blocks from Market street, - Minutes to the hospital. - Minutes to shopping, dining, beautiful sunsets, carriage rides, and more. - This downtown Wilmington, NC historic apartment is a perfect place to stay when you're in town. - On Street Permit Parking for residents and guests. Usually in front of the home, very rarely do you have to walk a couple of homes down. - It's surprisingly quiet for being so close to town, but occasionally you will hear an ambulance or fire truck, a loud car, or a garbage truck, but nothing unusual. Note: This is a 136+ year old home, it's beautiful, has character, the 100+ year old floors are beautiful, heavy duty, and sometimes wavy. Walls and doors aren't perfectly straight, it's a part of the charm. Also, due to being a historic home and having old windows, they should only be used for emergencies. For fresh air, please open the door. We do our best to provide a clean and comfortable spot for guests. If you need something or have a question or have a concern, just communicate with us! We'll be happy to provide recommendations or make something right. Shared backyard access available, though we kindly note this space is primarily used by the homeowners who live onsite. Guest access Gust Access: The space is on the side of the home, separate from the house with no access to the main home. It's secure and just for you. That said, if you need us, we're literally right next door. Other things to note We live in the main house and will be available to meet you, provide suggestions, and help if an issue does arise! Airplanes/ helicopters pass over the downtown area during the day. It can be noisy, but is not typically loud. The entire downtown area experiences this, we just want our guests to know ahead of time. We live in the main home so you may rarely here us or the doggos, but pretty rarely. Typically the dogs may bark if/when they notice you on the porch or near our front/ main door. But will typically settle down quickly. Note: This home is 136 years old, and although many aspects have been updated and refurbished... it is 136 years old. If an issue arises or you have questions, we live here and are here to help.
