The Shaw Metro station is less than a 12-minute walk, and the Convention Center is just a 5-minute drive. DC is also very bike-friendly, with several Capital Bikeshare stations nearby. Lyft and Uber are readily available throughout the city. Getting here: If you're flying into DCA, the easiest option during rush hours is taking the Yellow Line directly to Shaw Metro Station, or using a taxi, Uber, or Lyft. If you arrive at IAD or BWI, a taxi, Uber, or Lyft is the most convenient way to reach our home. If you're arriving Union Station by bus or train, take the Red Line to Gallery Place/Chinatown, then transfer to the Green or Yellow Line to Shaw Station. Parking: Street parking is available and is first come, first served. The street directly across from our home (on 3rd St) does not require a visitor permit. Green zones allow parking for up to 2 hours on weekdays during the day. Red zones are permit-only. The nearby Giant supermarket offers a public underground garage for approximately $30 per business day. Independent third-party parking options may also be available through the SpotHero app. Additional parking details will be provided prior to check-in. We are located on the second and third floor of a 4-story rowhouse. You must be able to climb stairs. This is our primary home. We've locked some rooms, doors, and drawers to secure our personal belongings, but the rest of the house is yours to enjoy!
