The nine block strip on U Street in Washington D.C. that is known as the U Street Corridor consists of a mixture of resaurants, clubs, bars, shops, and various residences. The Green and Yellow Metro Lines stop here at the U Street/African-American Civil War Memorial/Cardozo Metro Station. U Street is considered to be the center of the Washington D.C. jazz music scene with several jazz clubs and theaters.
