The Storyteller is named because next door two of the country's most recognized authors lived, Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe, when Hartford was known as a mecca for publishing.
In renovating this building, great detail was made to honor the beauty of the Mark Twain's house by choosing to restore the exterior cedar shingles, intricate wood trim, and stunning circular porches. The original exterior colors of the property were also brought back, and the property is once again a worthy neighbor and a landmark in the West End.

This building will have extended quiet hours with a focus on academia and a professional atmosphere. There is a minimum credit score of 675 required and a strict background and employment verification. Only one month security with a strong application. Tenant pays for electric and gas. Snow removal, landscaping, water, trash are all included.
