Welcome to 45 Maplewood Ave. If you have ever driven down Maplewood Ave. you will realize it's one of the best streets in the area for multi-family homes. Almost every house on the street is a multi-family (there are some nice single families sprinkled in) and they all have their own early 1900's look that are (sadly) not duplicated these days. The majority of them have inviting front porches and stunning architectural details. The character of these homes screams to you when pulling up and once inside each apartment has its one-of-a-kind layout and period trim. The materials and skilled craftmanship was its in prime when these homes were being built. These are the types of apartments that you don't forget living in and the farthest from a cookie cutter. This apartment is a great example -- It's on the third floor and one of the few in town that has two full baths! The layout is ideal for a roommate situation because of the two full bathrooms, but even more so because one of the bathrooms is part of a bedroom suite making it a private bathroom. This suite also has two closets. The second bedroom is across the hall which provides a nice separation and privacy. Both bedrooms are similar size. This second bedroom is in the back of the house and has three oversized windows that almost take up the entire back wall. This provides a ton of natural light, and a great top floor penthouse feel and view. This is one of the best third layouts that you will find. Most exciting is the recent installation of a high efficient front-loading washer and dryer in the unit! Again, a very rare feature for a third-floor apartment, but one that is extremely convenient. The living room is in the front of the house and again nicely separated from the bedrooms that are in the rear. There is a bonus front room where you enter the apartment on the 2nd floor that is great for an office/study. The hardwood floors in this room have recently been refinished. The red oak hardwood floors continue upstairs. There are again three windows that make the space feel airy and bright. The kitchen and living room are completely open to each other which makes a nice large space to enjoy. There is a large walk-in storage closet as you walk into the kitchen. The kitchen has a ceramic tile floor that extends into the hallway and bathrooms. The kitchen has space for a high-top table to eat-in. There is an updated subway tile tub/shower as you work your way to the back of the apartment to the bedrooms. There is surprisingly a lot of storage as there is another walk-in storage closet in the back of the house. The location is the real highlight as you are a mile from the popular West Hartford Center and Blue Back Square. There you will find outdoor dining, live music, lively bars, movie theater, and specialty/niche gyms. Farmington Ave. is one block away. It's a short back road commute to downtown Hartford or an easy option to take public transportation. I-84 is minutes away. All of the homes are the street are very well taken care of. These are all "trophy" multi-families houses. Please keep in mind that there is a strict application process that focuses heavily on credit. A minimum of a 675 credit score is required. The tenant is responsible for heat (gas) and electric. Owner is responsible for water, snow removal, landscaping. There are two off street assigned parking spots.
