Mar 22, 2022DO NOT LIVE HERE. I've lived here for 6 years. All the good reviews are because of the previous building manager/staff. Since there's been new staff, they're ABYSMAL. Don't care about you at all, rude. Not responsive-- have to pester them. The leases want 90 DAY NOTICE of move out. Most places are 60 at best. Was on the 1st floor with bars on the windows. I requested a key because it's a fire egress and hazard without one. Never got one. They were clueless. Had a broken shower and was told to "go to Home Depot & fix it myself"! After showering in my gym for 2 weeks maintenance was profusely apologetic and said they would have come right away if told. BGE bill was $200+/month even keeping heat at 60 because they use window units. Super inefficient. Desperately need new windows. Mine broke and couldn't open-- another fire hazard & leak like you wouldn't believe. Kitchen sink backed up annually w/ foul black water flooding and ruining everything. Not so much as a "sorry for the inconvenience". Was forced to clean it all myself every time! Unbelievable. During the height of COVID 5 men invaded (no masks) to fix a pipe-- though the email they sent didn't list my apartment as one that needed work. Ripped up floorboards, loudly sawed thru wood with matter flying everywhere & sat on my bed (I was working from home there) while covered in dirt like it was their own apartment. Again forced me to clean the mess myself! They couldn't even get to the pipe. All for nothing. Glad I was home! I have 2 cats-- would have been in harm's way. Building is ancient and falling apart. Turn off the water CONSTANTLY for repairs. Don't tell you WHEN though. Once it was 8am while showering! I had frozen food delivered to the wrong tenant in the lockers. Said there was nothing they could do and my food was ruined. You can't call that tenant? No key to the lockers? They're lazy and just try to get rid of you. Had SO many packages stolen because couriers don't use the lockers. I store all my food safely but don't get me started on the roach problem. They refuse to do anything about it. There's a reason why the prices are deals. SAVE YOURSELF. STAY AWAY FROM BAY MANAGEMENT!!!

Mar 23, 2022RUN! They're complete scam artists. They manipulate you and prey on unsuspecting tenants. And that 90-day notice to leave is a deliberate trap and big red flag. It's abundantly clear to me that all the great ratings online are from the property manager and staff who used to be in charge 3/4 years ago. They're completely invalid and irrelevant now. Look at the more recent reviews from the past year or so-- they're not good at all. I asked to stay an extra month after my lease because that's when my job ended, and they basically gave me a big ol' middle finger, raised the rent $150, and said I'd have to sign for another year and then break the lease to rip me off for thousands as a penalty. You're better off anywhere else dealing with actual human beings.
