About the building

Daisy Hill | Furnished 4BR/3BA Mountain Home | Utilities Included | Gardens + Remote-Work Space $3,750/month | 6-month minimum lease | Furnished | Utilities and yard maintenance included Set into the gentle Appalachian slope of Patton Hill in Swannanoa, Daisy Hill is a furnished four-bedroom, three-bath home designed for people looking for more than a temporary place to sleep. Located between Asheville and Black Mountain, the home offers a peaceful mountain setting while remaining convenient to Asheville, Black Mountain, Warren Wilson College, Montreat and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Daisy Hill works especially well for remote workers, relocating families, visiting professionals, families between homes, or anyone wanting an extended stay in Western North Carolina without the work of setting up and maintaining an entire household. The house has two distinct levels, giving residents an unusual amount of flexibility and privacy. Mountain Sun, the lower level, is grounded into the southern side of the mountain and includes two king bedrooms, two full bathrooms, a full kitchen, large living and dining area, walk-in pantry, laundry room, woodstove, and private patios. The large kitchen includes an electric range, generous tiled island, antique cabinetry and plenty of room for cooking at home. The open kitchen, dining and living space is framed by large timbers harvested from the property when the home was built. The two downstairs bedrooms each have their own bathroom and outdoor access. The Sunflower Room includes a tub/shower, dressing area and access to the laundry room and walk-in closet. The quieter Lily Room has a tiled walk-in shower and opens onto its own large patio. Mountain Moon, the upper level, includes two additional king bedrooms, a full bathroom, small sitting room, workspace, kitchenette and private covered porch. One bedroom has a dedicated desk/work area and walk-in closet, making it particularly useful for someone working remotely. Having living areas on both floors also makes Daisy Hill a good fit for a family that needs togetherness without everyone being on top of one another adult children, visiting relatives, two people working remotely, or household members with different schedules. A home for people who like being outside Daisy Hill isn't a conventional subdivision rental. The property includes established garden areas, stone walls and walkways, patios, a large covered porch, fire-pit areas and places to sit outdoors throughout the property. Depending on the season, you'll find flowers, pollinators, birds and changing mountain foliage around the house. The gardens are evolving as we continue developing Daisy Hill as a nature-centered property. Residents can enjoy the gardens without having to take responsibility for maintaining the grounds. Regular yard maintenance is included in the monthly rent. The large covered porch is one of our favorite parts of the house and functions almost like another living room during much of the year a place for morning coffee, reading, meals, conversation or simply listening to the birds. Designed for extended living Unlike a typical vacation rental, Daisy Hill has the things that make a longer stay practical: a full kitchen, pantry, full-size washer and dryer, generous closet and storage space, multiple work areas, four king bedrooms, three bathrooms and several separate indoor and outdoor spaces. High-speed internet is included, making the house suitable for remote work. The home's passive-solar design and earth-contact lower level also give it a character very different from a conventional rental house. Radiant-floor heating provides winter warmth, while the lower level naturally stays cooler during warmer months. Included in the monthly rent The $3,750 monthly rent includes furnishings, high-speed internet, electricity, water, propane used for hot water/radiant-floor systems, garbage service and regular yard maintenance. Residents are responsible for ordinary housekeeping and treating the home and property as their own during their stay. Daisy Hill is offered with a minimum six-month lease, making it particularly well suited to people relocating to Western North Carolina, building or renovating a home, working temporarily in the Asheville area, or simply wanting to experience mountain living before deciding where to settle permanently.
