Welcome home to Solstice Apartments! It's time to love where you live! Completed in March 2011, Solstice Apartment Homes are among the most popular housing choices for seniors in Opelika, AL. With its private neighborhood "feel," and its location proximate to the regional hospital, medical arts center, and Tiger Town, the area's premier shopping area, Solstice Apartments are ideally located. This senior apartment community consists of 28 duplexes, each with a carport and a covered rear veranda. The large clubhouse provides an upscale venue for holiday gatherings, birthday parties, potluck meals, bible study groups, and calligraphy classes. Each apartment features nine-foot ceilings, hardwood laminate flooring, solid wood cabinetry with granite countertops, and Energy Star appliances. This project was developed in partnership with Community Housing Initiatives of Columbus, Georgia. The project utilized low-income housing tax credits, HOME loan funds, and a TECAP (Tax Credit Assistance Program) loan provided by the Alabama Housing Finance Authority (AHFA).
