This ADU is specifically available for a tenant who will be an active part of our animal care team. We are looking for a reliable, "animal-savvy" person to assist with our horses and/or our house pets in exchange for a rent reduction. The Role: Choose Your Path. Living here requires a commitment to one of the following care arrangements. We are looking for someone who treats our animals with the same care and respect that we do. Path A: The Equestrian Assistant (Consistent Weekly Chores)Perfect for an experienced horse person. Routine: 1 2 days per week of stall cleaning and barn chores (8-stall barn, goats, and chickens). Reward: A consistent, monthly rent discount from the start. Growth: After a successful 30-day trial, we can increase the scheduled hours for a further rent reduction. Travel Coverage: Opportunities for additional rent credits by handling PM feedings and turn-ins when we travel. Path B: The House & Pet Sitter (Travel-Based Responsibility)If you are highly experienced with dogs and cats but not horses, this path focuses on our "indoor" crew. Responsibility: Available to provide care for our dogs, cats etc. whenever we are away. Reward: Rent is paid at the standard rate during normal months, with credits applied during travel periods. Note: You must be comfortable and reliable as a primary house/pet sitter. Equestrian Amenities For those on "Path A," we have one stall available ($1,500/mo standard board). The facility features a recently updated barn, covered round pen, and a beautifully renovated $90 \times 180$ arena with premium footing. We are happy to discount or trade boarding costs for additional help. Candidate Requirements Animal Savvy: Must have verifiable experience with animals (horses for Path A; dogs/cats for Path B).Reliability: This is a "presence-on-property" role. We need someone communicative and dependable. Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 50 lbs and navigate a farm environment. House Rules: Max occupancy of 1 person. Strictly no smoking, vaping, or drug use. Pet Policy We generally prefer no outside pets. However, we may consider one well-mannered cat or small dog on a case-by-case basis. Tenant dogs must remain in the ADU or accompany the owner to work, as they cannot roam the main property.
