Hi! I'm looking for a roommate to rent a room in a shared condominium - preferrably a traveling nurse or flight attendant. Ideally, it would be a month to month rental situation, with the option to extend should the terms be favorable both both parties. The room is furnished which would be perfect for a traveling professional. I've had success with traveling nurses in the past. They generally pay rent on time and are here for 3-6 months. Nearby hospitals are Providence San Pedro, Kaiser in Torrance, Torrance Memorial and Little Company of Mary - also in Torrance. Owner is easy to communicate with and is generally easy going. She likes to interact with others but also requires quiet time as well. The complex is generally quiet and peaceful. It is a non-smoking complex. Expectations are to keep common areas as clean and as clutter free as possible. Each occupant is responsible for cleaning their own dishes, wiping down the counters, kitchen and basic cleanliness. A house cleaner comes in 2x a month at $80/each which we can discuss (i.e., splitting cost). The cleaner would clean your bathroom and room, if requested. I prefer to speak about possible conflicts and/or any misunderstandings in a direct manner. Although this can sometimes be uncomfortable (I'm a work in progress myself), I'd rather deal with issues up front so things are clear and no resentments build up. I'm sure If we talk about and set mutually boundaries, things will work out. As an aside, I do not drink alcohol but that doesn't mean I am opposed to your casual drinking. Excessive partying is not something I desire in the home. You are welcome to have company visit and socialize, but I'd prefer no overnight guests. These are just basic requests based on past experience. Of course things are always negotiable if we communicate directly. Plenty of street parking is available. There is also a dedicated space inside the parking structure available. NOTE: This is a sample of lease terms: This Agreement shall be a fixed-period arrangement beginning on dates: ___________ with the Tenant having the option to continue to occupy the premises under the same terms and conditions of this Agreement under a Month-to-Month arrangement and will be up for renewal in 29 days (Tenancy at Will) with either the Landlord or Tenant having the option to cancel the tenancy with at least fourteen (14) days notice or the minimum time-period set by the State, whichever is shorter. For the Tenant to continue under Month-to-Month tenancy at the expiration of the Lease Term, the Landlord must be notified within (14) days before the end of the Lease Term.

There is also an Italian eatery as well as a Subway and Starbucks.
