About the building

Two-bedroom apartment in Friendship with lots of light and large bedrooms available for sublet August 1-May 31, with option to take over lease.… Central air, a small back porch, and an off-street parking spot are included in rent. I have lived here for ten years and would not be leaving if I wasn't moving for a job the round turret room and bay window in one of the bedrooms are especially nice. (Apartment will be unfurnished.) Quiet street & neighborhood, handyman/super I like, and a great location: extremely walkable to Aldi, Giant Eagle, Whole Foods, Walgreens, and with a little farther of a walk target, as well as one block from the 71A & C bus stop (~a ten minute walk to busway). Lots of coffee shops, bars and restaurants within a 5-10 minute walk and even more in a 20 minute walk. Great for someone who works in Oakland but doesn't want to live there the bus stop is just before the crush of people getting on. The apartment does have a smaller kitchen, but an ikea cutting board/kitchen cart under the counter overhang helped a lot before I realized it was actually fine for the cooking I do. I have lived in it both as a two roommate situation and as just me with an office/guest room, and it has been a dream for both. Big closets, high ceilings with fans, good water pressure in the shower! Cats allowed; no dogs. No smoking in building. Landlord will run a credit check.
