The drive to campus is 20 minutes door to door, no highways. The owner of the surrounding property allows us to walk the land.
The house is fully furnished. All you need is clothes and food!
Ideal renters: Visiting faculty/scholars, new TT faculty wanting to store their belongings and shop for a home while living here instead of moving twice, or other non-academic adults with references. Doctoral students may be considered.
Credit and background checks and renter's insurance are required. House will be deep-cleaned before move-in and the same will be expected upon move-out.

Outdoor country dog Rudy is VERY easy. Just needs a scoop of food 2x a day & some love. You can hire our friends to feed him if you leave town. He'll bark when unknown cars approach the house. He's our (harmless) security system. Rudy LOVES other dogs and kids. He's very chill. We keep a bed for him in the basement for dangerous weather (bad storms, freezing temps). Otherwise he sleeps on the porches. Inside plants watered about 2x week. Tenants can maintain low-maintenance "gardens" around the house or hire out (arranged by owners) but they must be kept in check one way or the other. Grass: We have a large riding mower, our friend will provide 2x month mowing of large area during high-growth times. You're welcome to do the area around the house and swingset more often.
