A dog may be consider under some circumstances but there is no guarantee of accepting any dog. If any dog were to be considered, the best candidate dog would be a small dog 15 pounds or under, low/no-shedding, indoor only that barks minimally. The security deposit cannot be used for last month's rent or for utilities. This a relatively brand new ADU single family residence (it was previously leased once for six months) and is not covered under Oakland's rent control for a period of 15 years from the date of the occupancy permit that was issued in August 2023, and I will guarantee not to raise the rent for however long you remain in the house. Occupancy is limited to two people due to unit's size.
