A dog may be consider under some circumstances but there is no guarantee of accepting any dog. With certainty, some breeds will not be considered due to insurance company restrictions (breeds deemed "aggressive" by carriers) under any circumstances. If any dog were to be considered, the best candidate dog would be a small dog 15 pounds or under, low/no-shedding, indoor only that barks minimally. A minimum of a $500 non-refundable dog deposit would be charged in addition to the $3,500 deposit. First month's rent and security deposit due upon lease signing. The security deposit cannot be used for last month's rent or for utilities. This a relatively brand new ADU single family residence (it was previously leased once for six months) and is not covered under Oakland's rent control for a period of 15 years from the date of the occupancy permit that was issued in August 2023, and I will guarantee not to raise the rent for however long you remain in the house. Occupancy is limited to two people due to unit's size.
