Even in summer we have back country access to Meadows, rivers, mountains and easy access to elevations from 3000 to 7000 to be cool in summer or get to snow in winter. WE have three local year round waterfalls in 7 to 10 miles of the house . Cascadel Falls, Angel falls at Bass Lake, and Whiskey Creek falls. We are 26 minutes to the south entrance according to driving notes in my review from a tenant as well as our experience driving into south entrance which is the entrance that has the giant grizzly Sequoia. The yosemite train is also outside the park on the way in from our house on highway 41, before the south entrance. Behind the house is a school yard, which you cannot see but can hike to the top of in 5 minutes and cross over, for a football field, baseball field. tennis court, playground WE are one mile from town as well in case you want a local activity as well as walk to our local museum is catty corner behind us in 1/10 mile.
