This home is at the end of a cul-de-sac on a 3/4-acre lot overlooking Hilo Bay and Honolii Beach Park - 10 minutes drive from Hilo, add another five minutes for University or Hospital. The private accommodations occupy the lower level of my home and are approximately 400 square feet, with their own private entrance. You'll have a private bathroom, queen bed, dedicated workspace, and a kitchenette with a refrigerator, microwave, air fryer, and toaster oven. I live upstairs and respect my guests' privacy, so this space is yours to settle into and make your own. The essentials: * Minimum stay: 3 months * 1 off-street parking space * Up to Gigabit Wi-Fi, all utilities included * Cooling by fans and tradewinds (no AC) * While there's no in-unit laundry, weekly laundry access is available just ask for details on scheduling * No pets * Optional biweekly housekeeping * 10 15 minute drive to the medical center and UH Hilo; 10 minute walk to the beach park One of my favorite parts of living here is watching the sunrise over the Pacific with a cup of coffee before Hilo comes to life. From the property, you can watch surfers ride some of the best year-round waves on the Hilo side of Hawai i, and if you're fortunate, catch a glimpse of humpback whales offshore during the winter months. Life here comes with the sounds of nature the ocean, tropical birds, rustling palms, and the frequent passing rain showers that help make Hilo so green. It's part of what makes this place uniquely Hilo, and for many guests those sounds become part of the rhythm of everyday life. Having been a traveling professional myself, I know firsthand that the little things make a big difference during an extended stay.
