Mother/daughter owned. One month Minimum. Fully furnished with a mix of family heirlooms and beautiful antiques, this four bed, one bath evokes old world charm in a peaceful space. The living room has a large dining table, sofa, decorative fireplace, and southern exposure for great light. The eat-in kitchen has a second dinning table, views of the backyard, and breezeway, which could be used to entertain the warmer months and/or as a covered parking when needed. Wake to an orchestra of birdsong with two full size bedrooms and two twin bedrooms. Enjoy morning coffee and evening cocktails on the back deck shaded by mature trees and surrounded by native plants in this Certified Wildlife Habitat. Just minutes to town where you'll find art galleries, Otto's Market, Nines Restaurant, Universal Cafe and Bar, and the Germantown sustainable laundromat. Germantown is a lovely slice of Upstate life. Otto's on main street has delish pan au chocolate and cappuccino for a morning start. Close to Hudson, Rhinebeck, Amtrak stations and Bard College. 2 hours to NYC. We live on site in the back cottage. We have a separate driveway. In winter months we provide snow clearance on both driveways. Spring, summer, early fall - We provide lawn care as our yard provides water, shelter, food sources, bird houses, nesting areas for all wildlife and insects. Milkweed for monarchs. Golden rod is abundant along with many other flowers insects and birds rely upon. We do not use pesticides. We have a variety of migratory birds and other animal inhabitants: our outdoor cat Max, rabbits, deer, chipmunks, groundhogs, squirrels, soaring hawks, nocturnal animals include: owls, skunk, opossum, occasionally a raccoon some of whom feed and raise there young nearby or on our property. Native plants, fodder, some dandelions provide early spring food, and native flowers through the season provide food for all. I encourage environmental balance and we co-exist with nature.
