About the building

This bungalow was built by my great aunt and uncle a century ago next to (50 yards away) our house which was built 150 years ago and is on the… National Historic Register. I purchase this house from my great aunt about 50 years ago and recently remodeled almost all of it with a newly redesigned kitchen and new appliances. We are surrounded by many acres of woods and pastures in a private setting on a paved dead end road on Mount Sequoyah. Our tenants maintain (mow) their own very large yards with large trees. I mow the apple tree yard below the road as well as my own yard. We have a tractor to brush hog the pastures. We are about one mile from Square and two miles to the U of A campus. This house may be occupied by not more than two persons total. A child counts as a person. I rent a second house up here and my older brother and his wife and dogs live up in the fourth house. Peace and quiet are treasured and required for the sake of all persons living on our hill. We prefer someone who is capable and willing to house sit our pets and house next door. Rent could be adjusted for that tenant who is comfortable with and knowledgeable about horses and who could occasionally take care of our home next door and our animals including dogs, cats, one horse when we go on vacation. If you have your own horse, we would probably allow you to use our pasture, arena, and barn and share in their feeding, etc.
