Summer Sublet Walking Distance to Durham's Ninth Street Summer Sublet from June - August: 1BD/1BA Near Duke East Campus and Duke Hospital Overview: I'm subletting my 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment in Old West Durham starting from June 1 through August 23, 2026 (Earlier start date available. No end date extension possible). The neighborhood is very walkable and bikeable to Ninth Street's restaurants and shops, Duke's East Campus and Hospital. Downtown Durham is about a 10 minutes drive away. There's also a bus stop on the street corner for Route 11. Apartment details: Rent is $1,385/month, which includes water, sewer and internet. Electric runs approximately $50 to $90/month depending on usage. The apartment is fully furnished and has an in-unit washer and dryer, full bath, plus driveway and ample street parking. Private backyard. No dishwasher. Single pets may be considered on a case-by-case basis with an additional fee. The neighborhood: Three grocery stores within walking distance, including Food Lion, Harris Teeter and Whole Foods. Easy access to everything Durham has to offer. What I'm looking for: I'm looking for a clean, responsible, respectful, non-smoking subletter who will treat the space with care. You'll be asked to provide one to two references that you're a good tenant/house sitter, proof of income/ability to pay, and to sign a sublet agreement prior to move in. A prorated amount for May (if applicable) plus June's rent will be due to secure the apartment. Electric is billed monthly and will be due as each bill arrives.
