Deanwood is one of North East Washington, DC's oldest neighborhoods. Deanwood is composed of low density, brick homes primarily. Many of the homes date back to the early 20th century. This coupled with the dense tree cover give the neighborhood a unique feel that cannot be found anywhere else in Washington D.C. The Deawood stop on the Metro Rail Orange Line connects the neighborhood to the rest of the city.
