About the building

The Ultimate "Walk-to-Everything" Sanctuary Pristine Bronxville PO Gem THE LIFESTYLE: Experience a rare "walk-to-everything" lifestyle in sought-after Bronxville PO. True walking distance to both Bronxville and Tuckahoe Metro-North stations (30-min to GCT), village shops, 3 libraries, playgrounds, and NY-Presbyterian Westchester. As one past resident noted: "A perfect location for families... a quiet block with great neighbors." CRAFTED CHARACTER: Past tenants say, "This room has seen so much joy!" The home's history shines through original old-growth Maple floors (1st floor) and classic Pine (2nd floor). Custom craftsmanship is found throughout, including a handmade carpenter's panel behind the living room pellet stove and custom-built carpenter radiator covers in every room. VERSATILE LIVING (1,712 TOTAL SF): BRIGHT LOWER LEVEL: A dry, finished family room (included in the 1,712 total SF) features above-ground windows, independent baseboard heating/thermostat, and a private door to the patio. Perfect as a Guest Suite, Home Theater, or bright Work-From-Home office. DUAL MUDROOMS: Featuring two "drop zones." The front entry offers custom closets for a "zero-clutter" hall, while the second mudroom leads directly to the private brick patio and backyard. ACCOMMODATIONS: 3 spacious bedrooms, including a master with a beautiful walk-in closet. The 3rd bedroom/office features a private balcony. STORAGE: Rare capacity with two large basement storage rooms, including an entire wall of handmade real wood shelving. INFRASTRUCTURE & EFFICIENCY: * UPGRADES: Oil-to-Gas conversion (high-efficiency boiler), Anderson windows, and a living room pellet stove. COOLING: Attic equipped with an auto-thermostat exhaust fan for summer comfort. SPA BATH: Large 2nd-floor bath with a premium German soaking tub and separate stall shower "big enough for an adult and two kids." TENANT TESTIMONIALS: Sandra 7/1/2015-7/31/2018 We love our neighbors, and it's great for families with kids - walking distance to multiple playgrounds, libraries. Good for commuting into city given walking distance to 2 train stations. Also, I love the open layout on the main floor - can keep an eye on the boys when I'm cooking Kashie 7/1/2015-7/31/2018 I agree with Sandra. This is a perfect location for young families - 3 libraries within walking distance, multiple playgrounds, the Bronx river park, a very ease commute to the city with more frequent trains than most Westchester towns, walkable distance to the center of town, multiple young families who are great neighbors, quiet block, outdoor space for enjoying outside as a family and kids and for gardening. Monica 7/1/2013-6/30/2016 The tall ceilings, the front room got so much sunlight - it was so easy to keep track of the kids because they loved to play in that room. They still talk about it. That room has seen so much joy! There was tons of storage. The mud room - ugh, I miss that. The stairs were beautiful. The big shower could fit me and two kids. That nook at the top of the stairs was a perfect place to show a piece of art that was important to us - now in storage because we don't have a private space large enough for it. The little nook outside the two smaller rooms was where we did stories and puzzles and I did airplane with the kids. So many good memories. Please note: The interior has been freshly repainted in a warm off-white current photos do not yet reflect the updated look. The house will be available unfurnished. Located in the Bronxville postal area (Yonkers School District)."
