The Broadmoor Apartments were built in 1929 as an apartment hotel with a tearoom and service room. It was the largest apartment project ever in the Tacoma area at the time. Often called an art-deco showpiece, the Broadmoor consists of 76 units with original parquet flooring, mahogany doors, and stunning views of the Puget Sound. The historic structure features an off-street courtyard with an iconic outdoor fountain. Inside, there is an original elevator as well as newer on-site laundry facilities. The Broadmoor currently provides well-maintained studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartment homes that include all utilities: water, sewer, garbage, and electricity. The Broadmoor is located in the heart of Tacoma's Stadium district, close to shopping, restaurants, and bus lines. Fireman's Park and Wright Park are two nearby parks to enjoy, next to the light rail trolley for convenient downtown accessibility.
