About this listing

Baton Rouge, LA. 1BR 1BA, full kitchen, FULLY FURNISHED, separate entry, reserved parking. 750 square feet, washer & dryer, 50" smart TV, full length mirrors, etc. 30 day minimum, deposit & cleaning fee required, references & signed lease required. NO SMOKING!! Apartment is one side of a brick home located in a quiet neighborhood with mature trees. I live in the other side of the home. There are motion sensitive solar lights on the front and back of the house and I have a camera system in place viewing the exterior of the home and yard. I have roses, fruit trees, flowers and herbs and I'm always planting something new since I kill half of what I start. Oh well, hopefully I'll get better with experience! The Neighborhood: We are a quiet neighborhood most of the time. Lots of people walk in our neighborhood so feel free to join in. Florida Blvd (Hwy 190) is two blocks to the South. There is a Smoothie King on the near corner, a convenience/gas store just across Florida Blvd, a natural goods store, a locally owned grocery store just a couple of blocks West on Florida Blvd, Wal-Mart is a couple of block further West down Florida Blvd in the Amazon area, just turn North on Oak Villa Blvd. East on Florida Blvd is a Walgreen's and Asian Supermarket, Baskin Robbins, Vivi Bubble Tea and a Dollar Tree. The subdivision was built in the 60s so you will see lots of mature trees, they are so beautiful and provide much needed shade in the hot Louisiana months (9 out of 12 months). There are several locally owned and operated restaurants very near our neighborhood: Po-Boy Express, Tim's Po-Boys, Our Daily Bread has a deli, Hi Nabor has sushi and a deli, Frank's Restaurant. Louisiana is known for its seafood and cajun food and there are many locally owned restaurants thru out the city. Personal favorites are Mike Anderson's, Parrain's, Sushi Yama, Francois's Grill, Nino's, Hannah Q Smokehouse, Elsie's Plate & Pie and many more. Check out Country Roads Magazine for local events all the way from north Louisiana to New Orleans. The 225 & Country Roads magazines are both available for free from many BR retailers for information about Baton Rouge often including local restaurant information.
