Hi lovely human! Starting June 1st we have a furnished room becoming available in our wonderful shared ocean-view house in Aptos (near Seascape golf course off of Rio Del Mar exit). About the House: When you walk into this welcoming home from the street level you'll find yourself on the third floor surrounded by a collection of happy plants in the spacious living room. This top floor contains the kitchen/living/dining/laundry common areas and a half bathroom. The first thing you'll notice is the stunning ocean and tree views through the large view windows and sliding glass door. Step through the sliding glass door and you'll find yourself on a large balcony overlooking the spacious backyard with expansive views of the Monterey Bay. The top deck is equipped with a gas BBQ grill, fire pit, Adirondack sunning chairs, six person table, and two sun umbrellas. Enjoy the back yard in the two person hammock under the plum tree, pluck a fresh lemon from the lemon tree, and take a soak in the five person hot tub. About Us: This happy four bedroom home is shared with warm, friendly, clean & tidy occupants. We are: -- a jovial, music playing, landscape designer, entrepreneur, co-op architect in his mid 40's. -- a fitness enthusiast, software engineer, AI implementation specialist, philosopher & indie musician in his late 20's. -- a redwoods studying grad student in his late 20s, who loves outdoors, surfing, gardening, playing bass/guitar, and cooking. We are working professionals working mostly outside of the house but one housemate occasionally works from home and another does a mix of home office & field work. While we respect each other's space, we also enjoy coming together for the occasional house dinner, art night, jam session, entrepreneurial brainstorming session, friendly philosophical debate, or friends & family potluck. We enjoy playing music instruments, designing/building software, creating art, concerts, gardening, yoga, sound healing, yummy food - and surrounding ourselves with positive and heart-centered people... Does your vibe resonate with our vibe? We share house cleaning chores on a rotation. This is an always-clean-up-after-yourself-right-away environment. If you like to leave piles of dishes, crumbs, clothes, or clutter for others to deal with then this won't be a good fit. About the Room: A beautiful room is available on the middle floor of our three story home. The room has light paint and wood grain laminate flooring, overhead lighting, a closet with mirrored doors, and Venetian mini-blinds. The bedroom comes furnished with a very comfy queen size memory foam mattress and bed frame. The bathroom with bathtub/shower is accessed through the adjacent hallway, and is shared with two other housemates. About the Area: The home is in a safe and scenic neighborhood that is great for walking/jogging/biking. Conveniently located above the golf course in Rio Del Mar, the home is just a couple minute drive from Highway 1 off the Rio Del Mar exit and has easy access to Deerpark shopping center and nearby beaches. Rental terms: Rent is $1250/month and does not include utilities. Deposit required. Trash is paid, other utilities are shared equally between the occupants of the house. Single occupancy only.
