We are looking for tenants who will love this beautiful rural property as much as we do! Our ideal tenant would stay from September 2026 through May 2027, but our dates are somewhat flexible, and we would consider shorter rental periods. We would have someone handle yard maintenance for you. The property comes with one sweet indoor/outdoor cat who sleeps in the barn loft (she does not go in the house) tenants would need to be willing to refill her automatic food and water dispenser every few weeks and give her lots of love. She can be left alone for 2 weeks at a time. We have five chickens if you are interested in fresh eggs, but we can also rehome the chickens with a neighbor as needed.

I commute to work at the University of Virginia, as do many Scottsville residents it's a beautiful drive on country roads with no traffic or stoplights!
This is a one-of-a-kind haven for anyone working in Charlottesville, working from home, or looking for a writer's/artist's retreat. Great for a family or someone with pets -- our children (and dog!) love running free here.
