Welcome to my home! I am renting out the front bedroom in my recently renovated, fully furnished home. Since this is my second home, and I am usually traveling, you may end up having the entire place to yourself most of the time during the winter. When I am in town, I work from home as well as spend time working around the property and visiting friends and family. I keep things clean and tidy and am looking for someone who does the same. It is a short walk from downtown Bennington, and a short drive to shopping or work. (Southwestern Vermont Medical Center is 2.2 miles away, the Vermont Veterans Home is 1.5 miles away, and shopping and restaurants are all within 5 miles) The front bedroom is approx 110 sf (10x11) and has a large roomy dresser with plenty of deep drawers, a closet which accommodates a decent amount of clothing, and storage underneath bed (I have several large lidded bins for you to use). The bathroom has a walk-in shower (no tub) and a stackable washer/dryer. The kitchen is small, but fully equipped with cookware, dinnerware, spices, etc.... You share the refrigerator with me, and have your own food storage area. The rent includes all utilities (Electric, Internet, Heat, A/C, and water), linens and towels. Minimum lease is 3 months, month-to-month after that, longer leases are fine. All applicants must fill out an application and pass credit and background checks. There is a nice backyard next to a brook if you enjoy sitting outside or having a small garden. I have a garage but it is not available other than to store a bicycle if you have one. As far as me, I semi-retired, a Navy Veteran, and I like to keep my home neat and clean (shoes off inside, no smoking!). I do not drink or smoke, and have a zero tolerance policy as far as drug use.
