Short term leases are acceptable with rate increases (ie: 6 months lease: 10% additional, 2 month lease: 20% additional) "Treehouse" is a beautifully designed, fully furnished, turnkey, high end studio apartment that occupies the second floor of a 1926 Craftsman Style Bungalow called the Charles Allen Hunter House, located in the heart of downtown's Garfield Historic District. White walls, vaulted ceilings, light wood floors, full kitchen, bathroom, living room, furnished with high end, warm modern furniture (DWR, Eames, Modernica). The apartment has dedicated heating and cooling system, gas range and oven, microwave, refrigerator/freezer, Bosch washer/dryer, dishwasher, and wireless high-speed cable internet. We are currently not renting this unit as an unfurnished rental, as the furnishings in the apartment were either custom made or professionally curated for this space. The first floor of Charles Allen Hunter House is a fully independent 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home which enjoys a separate entry, separate front yard/backyard and front porch. The Treehouse apartment has a private side yard entry garden with its own flagstone sitting area, and separate entry. At the rear of the property is a chicken coop and restored airstream trailer surrounded by a hedge, with it's own gated parking space off of the alley, that is home to a young professional music teacher named Michael. Because this is a second floor apartment in a historic home, we ask that this be a shoeless apartment. No dogs please, unless they're like a potato-sized thing that doesn't bark maybe. : / And cats who don't claw. : ) This property is located in Garfield Historic District, near 7th street and Roosevelt, walking/biking distance to Art-Walk galleries, Genomics Research Laboratories, and many downtown amenities. Standing at the kitchen window, you can see high rise buildings of downtown Phoenix towering over the historic rooftops and neighborhood tree-line in the immediate foreground. The home sits three houses West of Gallo Blanco and Welcome Diner restaurants, as well as BLOK Studio and Buena Vida Bodega. Please note that the ceilings in this apartment are lower in areas, making this apartment not ideal for anyone over 6' tall.
