To submit inquiries or to schedule a viewing of the home, contact caretaker Stephanie Stone. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - You enter The Mission from the front patio into a bright, open-concept living space with a small dining area and a well-stocked kitchen adjoining. Off of the main living space is a full bathroom with tub and shower that will be stocked with fresh towels. The Mission could sleep up to four adults who are quite comfortable with each other. The home has two bedrooms. The first bedroom has a queen size bed and a larger closet with hanging space. The second bedroom has a queen size bed, a letter desk and a smaller closet with a few shelves available. Note: each bedroom has a curtained doorway or divider separating it from the main room. If you venture outdoors, there's even more to enjoy. Right out the front door is a wonderful patio with a fire pit, charcoal grill, table and seating, a great space for relaxing, having your morning coffee, reading, visiting, or having a meal or cocktails. The yard is beautifully wildscaped with mostly native, edible and medicinal plants, and yard art, and it's common to see many birds, squirrels, deer, foxes and occasionally other wildlife visiting the property. The deer cut through the lot (very entertaining!), passing by the bedroom windows and may make a little noise, so if you hear rustling out there, they are likely the culprits, and you can safely open up the windows and enjoy watching them :) We keep water out for the wildlife near the property line shared with the homeowners. Children and adults alike may have fun swinging on the "little" red swing in the front yard. The neighborhood's windy streets are popular with walkers. If you take a stroll around the neighborhood, you will be rewarded with hill-top views, a look at many unique homes and antique limestone rock work on the hillsides. The Methodist Encampment neighborhood is an eclectic mix of old and new, and home to many artists, musicians and writers, among others. It's common to see neighbors outdoors working on projects, visiting with each other or getting together on someone's patio for food, drinks, fellowship and music. The Mission is also in a great location for accessing all that the town of Kerrville and the Texas Hill Country has to offer: In less than a 5 minute drive, you can reach grocery stores such as our favorite H-E-B or there's Walmart, Gibson's, other shopping, restaurants, the Guadalupe River, The River Trail, parks, and the Salvation Army Kroc Center (for sports, exercise and recreation) and churches.
