About the building
This "skinny house" has had one owner. I live alone in the lower apartment, which has its own entry.… I may spend extended periods of time outside the U.S., but I will have qualified backup for any eventuality.
The property footprint is almost completely utilized to accomodate the addition of a large deck. Tenants are encouraged to enjoy this amenity. No fires are allowed on the deck; hot embers can melt the artificial deck surface. There is a small firepit on the lower property from the deck to the fence. If you use it, buy the firelogs at the supermarket, etc. They do not pop and throw sparks in the air.
The are steep parts of the property, i.e. the driveway is very steep. In freezing weather, it can be dangerous to walk up the cement drive. (I have fallen.) I have provided a granular product the spread lightly over icy surfaces. It will be available in the covered, enclosed area by the front door.
I have lived in this house for almost 30 years. The neighbors are very civil...there are no bad actors. It's a nice neighborhood and close to bus service to downtown, etc. As close as it is to the "big city", the vibe of Maple Leaf is relaxed and neighborly.
