Charming large studio available September 1st (2 person maximum) with a lovely custom red fir kitchen; original hardwood floors throughout and cobalt… blue penny tiles in the three/quarter bath. The high ceilings have two fans for cooling in the summer and a rustic & calming painted mural of trees.
This is an unfurnished ground floor studio that has a little shared covered porch, generous shared deck and a pleasing small lawn with a flowering old crabapple tree.
Friendliness and privacy characterize the place at 9 Cedar.
Parking: Outdoor off-street parking available for ONE car - (even with double occupancy only one parking space available) - no pickup trucks, no big vans - simply not enough room when snow has piled up in the winter.
The house feels surprising private up on its little knoll - (and just fyi it is not in the flood plain.) All tenants have access to shared coin-operated laundry room March through December (cold temperatures in Jan/Feb sometimes interfere with washing machine) and use-at-your-own-risk bicycle storage in the garage.
Easy walking to Kellogg Hubbard Library, local arthouse movie theater and beloved locally owned coffee-shops and restaurants. Located just on the perimeter of quaint Montpelier with easy access to I89. Rent includes all utilities, plowing, yard-mowing, garbage/recycling/compost, plowing, yard mowing. Keeping the heat at 70 or lower is expected.
Good wifi is provided, tenant welcome to increase speeds on their own. Must be able to pitch in with the other tenants to shovel snow from short walkway from door to the driveway. This is an old farmhouse, with many upgrades, which has been converted into four small apartment units. (Sorry: No pets, no smoking.) 2 person MAXIMUM, $30 up-charge for a Double Occupancy covers partial increased water&sewer usage). Owner works in Montpelier & lives about 20 miles away.
