This spacious 1810 farmhouse features a quiet location in the woods that's less than 10 minutes from stores, restaurants, and entertainment.… $2,750/mo plus share of utilities and services. A fixed rate based on the past year's costs is available, and some rent reductions are possible: see details below. Flexible start date, September - November. 1 year lease, but looking for a tenant with long-term intentions. BIPOC and LGBTQ+ renters (as well as non-BIPOC and non-LGBTQ+ renters) are very welcome. 2,094 square feet with two large bedrooms, 1.5 baths, 2 bonus rooms (currently office and sun porch/guest room), screen porch, patio, big yard with berries and perennial flowers, large kitchen with open floorplan and plenty of counter and cupboard space, woodstove, laundry room, utility room, dining room, wood floors in most rooms. Air conditioned throughout (upstairs, that's window units). Includes outdoor storage space in shed and clean, shared storage in attic; garage (1 car, not sized for trucks) plus plenty of off-street parking. Outdoor sitting area with firepit and view. Solar panels and a backup battery ensure power for at least a day during blackouts with careful use. There's an EV charging station in the garage: a modest additional monthly cost would be applied to cover electricity if it's actively used. Pets are considered on a case-by-case basis. Unfortunately, pets who are loud or who may cause damage to the property (even without meaning to) aren't workable for this home, but other pets may be. I know how important pets are to a lot of people and try to be as flexible as I can. Includes all appliances: refrigerator, stove, microwave, washer, dryer, dishwasher, chest freezer. Available fully furnished, partly furnished, or unfurnished. Discounted rent available if you have the skills, experience, and interest to do minor repairs and/or mow the lawn and clear snow from the driveway in a timely way (battery electric mower and snowblower along with other equipment provided). Rent can also be reduced if you don't need the sunroom. If you have advanced carpentry skills, there might be occasional opportunities to work on larger house projects in exchange for a rent abatement. This has been a wonderful home and refuge for me, and I would stay here indefinitely if I weren't relocating. I'm looking for a tenant who will truly care about and enjoy this house. If you want a rental that's pristine, new, and generic, this is not the home for you -- but if you're drawn to character, history, and warmth, it might be a good match. The house has an apartment over the garage with two friendly, responsible, and quiet tenants who share the patio and part of the outdoor space. It's important that folks who move into the house be as good neighbors as they are.
