Two rooms in a
conscious-relating household
We're calling in two housemates to our beautiful Oakland Hills home who'll bring presence, communication,… and care to a shared household.
The house:
4 bed 2.5 bath gated community
270 degree views off Skyline Boulevard, sunset over the Bay, city lights at night
Spacious chef's kitchen, indoor fireplace, and an in-home movie theater coming together
Backyard with outdoor kitchen, gas-plumbed fire table, and room to gather, meditate, practice yoga, or hang in a hammock
Chabot Regional Park across the street with hiking and bike (and equestrian!) trails, redwoods, fire roads right outside
Ample parking with EV charging on site, and super-fast fiber internet
A car is strongly recommended since we're in the hills. There's a bus stop about a 20-minute walk away, but service is limited.
A few storage shelves in the garage are available, but we can't accommodate extensive storage.
The house has four levels and both entrances have steps, so it isn't wheelchair accessible.
Rooms are unfurnished. Common areas are mostly furnished we moved recently and we're still working on it.
Who we're looking for
We care about how we live together, not just where. We're building a household oriented around conscious relating meaning communication skills, a willingness to give and receive feedback, and a real commitment to repair when things get bumpy (because they will).
If "feedback culture" and "repair" are familiar language to you, you'll feel at home here.
Queer- and poly-friendly is a baseline
House logistics
No pets. No indoor smoking; outdoor smoking is fine.
Overnight guests welcome per the lease, which specifies when a guest must become a housemate.

Landlord requires a background and credit check ($35, paid by applicant) and renter's insurance.
