It is one of two 3-story adobe homes in Taos, with the glorious light of New Mexico flooding the second and third stories, with beautiful views of the mountains. Stepping inside the gate of the six-foot adobe walls transports you to a secret garden, full of tall, mature trees offering shade, fruit tress of apricot, peach and cherry, lilac bushes, roses and lush perennial gardens. Situated on the south side of town, it is only a 75-minute drive to Santa Fe, and a 2.25-hour drive to the airport in Albuquerque. Short walking distance to two restaurants (Old Martina's Hall & Ranchos Grill), coffee shop (Mountain Monk), art galleries on the Ranchos Plaza, and the San Francisco de Assisi Church. An arm of the Rio Pueblo runs through the neighborhood, which is largely residential, pasture and orchards.
This home is a duplex with two separate units. Both are fully furnished, including furniture, dishes & cookware, towels and linens. Both units are cozy and elegantly artistic, with tons of the New Mexican abode charm of wood floors, ceiling vigas, tile, and thick adobe walls.
