Welcome to Venice Beach!… This updated bungalow was fully renovated in 2016 to add a second story and is perfectly situated in the heart of Venice Beach.
The house is light-filled, airy and artfully decorated. On the first floor there is a large living room with a working fireplace, two large picture windows that overlook the front yard which is flanked by two large trees providing both privacy and shade.

The master bedroom has French doors which lead out to the peaceful backyard. The bedroom has a wall of closets that separate it from the ensuite bathroom.
The home office is also at the end of the hall across from the master bedroom. It is bright with West facing windows, and is stylishly and functionally furnished with a wall of open shelves, a large adjustable standing desk, comfortable adjustable office chair and a mid-century modern style convertible couch for those late afternoon power naps. The office also has french doors leading to the backyard.
Lastly on the first floor, there is a guest bath with shower.
The second story of the house opens to a loft space which is furnished as an additional workspace with a large built-in desk including a file cabinet separating seating for two. There are also two identical bedrooms, each with double closets and a window seat. In the hallway between the bedrooms is a full bathroom with bathtub and shower. The upstairs is very airy with 360 degrees of windows throughout the floor and two skylights which provide excellent ventilation and usher in the ocean breezes.
The exterior of the home offers an inviting and private artfully landscaped front yard. The backyard is landscaped with colorful foliage and towering perimeter trees. The garden has built-in seating around a concrete gas fed fire pit, a large and well maintained gas bar-b-q grill, as well as a picnic table and seating for alfresco dining under string lights.
The house is centrally located in Venice Beach providing a calm retreat within the city with ready access to a walkable beach town vibe. You can literally go days without getting in your car, yet want for nothing. From the house one can walk in 5 to 15 minutes to get to: THE BEACH; general and specialty food shoppes (Whole Foods, Erewhon, Ralphs, and Gjusta Grocer); numerous good coffee shops; clothing retailers including upscale, discount and fabulous
(J Crew, Adidas, Buck Mason, Pincipessa etc.); a variety of excellent restaurants of various cuisines including fresh sushi, Italian, awesome taco trucks, authentic Indian, Greek, and Indonesian, etc., [most on Abbot Kinney and Rose Ave]; parks offering tennis, basketball, handball, and pickleball courts, soccer, baseball and kickball fields, golf course, and a world class skate park; live music at the Venice West and Townhouse; two nearby bus stops, one on Lincoln & Broadway where you can catch a bus that goes to LAX and takes 30 to 45 minutes (depending on traffic), and another stop a block away where the Big Blue Bus will take you to UCLA, Santa Monica, Marina Del Rey, Westchester, and the Metro station in Santa Monica from where you can get a train to Downtown LA, as well as other interesting neighborhoods around the city.
The house provides quick access to the main thoroughfares of Lincoln and Venice Boulevards and the major freeways (10, 405 and 90), and is an easy commute to Santa Monica, Culver City and Marina Del Rey.
There are also three major hospitals nearby: UCLA Santa Monica, Providence Saint John's and Cedar-Sinai Marina.
