It would be perfect for a family who wanted to spend the summer (or a month or two in the summer) in beautiful Traverse City. Charming tree-lined Washington Street is full of picturesque historic homes. We are just a few doors down from a terrific community park with green grass, a basketball court and play structures for kids. The Grand Travese Bay is just a block and a half away (where this is a fabulous public beach), our public library is 3 blocks away and downtown with all of its wonderful amenities is about 12 minute walk. And, once you have your home base here in historic TC , you can explore the region and it's incredible beaches, rivers, wineries, natural spaces and the Sleeping Bear National Park. The house was built in the late 1800's and both retains its historic character and brings in some nice modern touches . The plumbing, electric, insulation, structure, roofing were all completely redone a few years ago so all systems work just fine. As part of that renovation we created an addition was added with an open floor plan and lots of windows to allow natural light from all directions. That's the kitchen/family room space that is just the spot to make a nice meal, gather with friends, or just while away the afternoon reading a book on a comfy couch.
