Ivy Overlook is a cozy furnished home with lots of space and scenic views of the wooded backyard. Very nice living room with open floor plan connecting the dining room and kitchen together. There is a separate den with ample seating which is great for relaxing in front of the TV with a movie. The den also features a desk to allow for remote work or teleworking. The master bedroom offers a great deal of space including a writing desk, TV, an in-suite bathroom and walk-in closet. There are two additional bedrooms with comfortable queen beds that share a hall bathroom. The kitchen has plenty of counter space and includes an island with bar stools. Adjacent to the kitchen is a small breakfast nook with a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery. There is more seating available at the formal dining table that seats up to eight. The front porch offers a beautiful space for enjoying your morning coffee in the fresh air. This home is near the Marietta square (it would be a long walk but a very short drive) and is also very close to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital as well as other medical centers nearby. This house offers easy access to greater Atlanta as it is within just a couple miles of I-75. This quick access is convenient for visiting Truist Park to see the Braves play or heading to downtown Atlanta for other exciting venues and adventures. With this home being just north of Marietta square, there are plenty of attractions nearby, making this home perfect for someone needing a place to rent from a month or two, all the way to a longer-term stay. A couple disclaimers to know before booking the property and during your stay: While the yard is covered with a woods-like area, it is not recommended to spend time in the yard since it is intentionally left as a wooded lot and is not maintained. The driveway is very steep, so if you are concerned about driving down the hill or backing out of the driveway, parking on the street would be recommended. It can be tough to see the driveway as you pull down the hill so please take caution and be aware of this. With the hill being so steep, some vehicles may have trouble backing out of the driveway without some momentum. There is room to turn around in the driveway using the extra lot space on the side. This can help to avoid backing out of the driveway since the hill is very steep and visibility pulling into the street from the hill can be challenging. For those who prefer to park on the street, there is a pebble and stone footpath to come and go in the front door directly from the street. The screened porch is great for relaxing outside. Work is in progress on the exterior back deck stairs; they are currently off limit until complete (repairs / replacement underway). The back stairs are not needed since there isn't really a need to go into the steep back yard / wooded area, however, just as a caution, please do not use the back stairs until the maintenance has been completed. Exterior back stairs are blocked off with wood and a notice posted since this is work is currently being completed. Lastly, the home is on the primary level, and rests on a large unfinished basement that will remain locked from the main level. Certain utilities (HVAC, water heater) are in that area and should not require access except by maintenance.
